In the pictures below the

to them in their activity level
though, as my friend Lori

and I had such a hard time getting the puppies to stay still for
the photo shoot. It was nearly impossible to get some pics that
were either, not blurry, or with a decent pose. In any case, we
did manage to get a few. In the end, we decided that we better
not go into photography as a career quite yet.
Over the past 2 weeks they have grown so much and even their
appearance is so different. They no longer have the pink
noses, and their ears are not so flat to their heads, as
the photo shoot. It was nearly impossible to get some pics that
were either, not blurry, or with a decent pose. In any case, we
did manage to get a few. In the end, we decided that we better
not go into photography as a career quite yet.
Over the past 2 weeks they have grown so much and even their
appearance is so different. They no longer have the pink
noses, and their ears are not so flat to their heads, as
they were. Their fur is starting to fluff up. You can notice in the pictures how long their nails were. They have been cut now, and
will, be several more times before they go home. That is definitely not one of their favorite routines.
They are starting to get around a lot better, managing to get up and walk a bit. They don't have too much muscle strength yet,
and it is so comical to watch them quickly fall over, usually on a litter mate. Ugh. You can see in the pictures that their eyes are
beginning to open. By 3 weeks they should be pretty much totally opened and the puppies will also be able to hear. They are
all very good eaters and also at letting their needs be known. Sometimes a puppy will be yelping, as if he was getting hurt. I run
over alarmed, to check, only to find the puppy sound asleep. Wonder what he was dreaming?
Because there are so many and they are getting so big, it gets crowded at mom's feeding station. I have to give a few of the
pups a time-out from nursing, so as to give the other siblings a fair turn. They are still totally dependent on mom for basically all
their immediate needs: eating, cleaning, and cuddling. Each day though, I see more milestones, where they are becoming the
cute, fluffy, cuddly, playful, puppies that they will be, by the time they go into their permanent homes.
