The pups are very very active now, and as they grow, the picture taking becomes more difficult to get some good shots. For their individual shots they either want to walk out of the picture area or stay completely still making different poses impossible. While in the box, when I approach to take a cute potential picture I see, they immediately stop what they are doing to come over to me. But, actually, that is a good thing as they are all healthy and acting just the way they should be for their age.
They are eating totally solid kibble now which is what they will be on when they go into their permanent homes. Weather permitting I hope to be letting them out in the yard next week in an ex-pen to experience the outside for the first time. They have their visit to the vet this week and except for the long car ride all together in a crate for the trip, they will love the trip with all the attention they will be getting from the office staff.
They are drinking water now, and although Brazin does go in still to check that the box is clean, they quickly try to latch on to her but soon realize that her milk has pretty much all dried up. Brazin will only allow them to nurse a very short time, because with their sharp teeth and nails, it is very uncomfortable for her to allow them to nurse too long.
During the day, I play a recording of many different sounds the puppies will encounter when they leave here, like traffic, a vacuum cleaner, thunder, and fireworks, etc, that they may encounter when they are in their new homes, to help accustom them to these strange sounds.
